Project 4
I can't believe I'm already at the point of completing my last and final project for this semester. Time went by extremely fast! Project 4 was basically a wrap up of our semester long project and it was something I enjoyed doing. My group as always worked really well together to get this finished. For the project we had to get together all of the work that we have done and put it together then write a final paper and a reflection. Each group member got assigned a part of the paper to complete and I was assigned to how we brought awareness to our problem. This is something that was not very hard for me to do because that's what the whole project was mainly focused on. Once everyone's part was completed everything was put together into a binder. It included all of the things we did for our previous projects. For the presentation part of the project each of us will talk about the part of the paper that we had to write and we will also be showing our power point with a video included.
Comp Conference
A few weeks ago i attended the College Comp Conference that was held at the SUB. My really good friend Brianna was presenting on of her papers so I wanted to go in the same room that she was in. The first person to read her paper was about her journey here to Kutztown. It was really interesting to here her choice of words and her style of writing. The second person to speak was my friend Brianna and her paper was about taking a deeper look into music and how important it is to her. It was really nice to hear her tell everyone about how much music means to her. The last paper was more of a research paper about the government and the budget cuts. Even though his paper was a research paper, he still managed to make everything seem interesting. When all three papers were done everyone in the room discussed the papers that were just read. It was interesting to see how different the styles of papers that were written. The first girls paper was more personal and was easy to relate to, the second was still personal but also had a lot of research put into it, and the third was mostly all research. I really thought it was great that these students took time out to read their papers to a group of people and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.

Project 3
The other day in class we were introduced to our project 3 assignment. For this project, in or group we have to come up with or own assignment. At first or group had a little bit of trouble figuring out something we could do that would count as 20% of our overall grade in the class. My group and myself all work really well together so this was something we knew we could accomplish. We decided to do a couple different things for project 3. For the visual part of the assignment we are going to be making a power point of nutritional facts being as though we are part of the healthy food group. As well as doing the power point each group member is going to make note cards with different nutritional facts to hand out to students to get them aware of how unhealthy the food here is Kutztown is. To make the project a little more fun, we decided we are going to make a video to show to the class as well. As for the written part of the project, we decided that we are going to do a 300-500 word reflection on how we did in completing the project. Next class my group will be getting together to start to put together the assignment sheet to go with our project. I know I am very excited to get going on our project!

Creating My Own Hand Game
In the class before our spring break we had to all get out of our seat and move all the desk out of the way to create a big circle around the room. When this was being done I started to think we must be playing a game or doing a big group activity. When Dr. Morris told us to get with a partner and sit on the ground, I partnered up with Jess. Dr. Morris then told us we had to create our own hand game. You had to be able to play it at any time or place and you were only able to use you hand, eye, feet, and ect. When she told us this i immediatly thought how are we going to do this? We both started to think of hand games we used to play when we were younger and we both came to remember the game Slide. It's a hand game that is hard to explain over the computer but you basically slap hands with yourt partner and increase as you get along with the game. Jess and I then started to think how we could change it around to make it our own. So we decided to add that you have to say a color each time the rotation would end. Each time you went through you would have to re say each of the colors that was said previously. The game would end when one person would mess up . Obviously this is very difficult to explain this way, but it was a succesful game. I believe Dr. Morris had us do this activity to keep us in the creativity mode. As it is the main topic of our semester it shows that creativity can be realted in so many other way then in just writing. It is activity that i definetly enjoyed and I am glad I was able to participate.

Unhealthy Food at KU
Being a part of the unhealthy food at KU group for our project has really opened my eyes to a lot of different things here at KU. I could definitely say that I am not a huge fan of the food here at Kutztown. The choices are very limited and not very healthy to say the least. I think that it is very unfair to pay the price that we do for our dining meals, but not get what we really want or need in return. There is only one salad and wrap place located at the academic forum. This is inconvenient for two reasons, one it is all the way across campus, and also the hours that it is open isn't very convenient. There are a total of three Burger and grill places the are located on campus and I think that is something that needs to be changed. If we could reduce that number to one, students wouldn't be tempted to buy the unhealthy foods. My group members and I have started to bring together information about what other schools have for there meal plan and what they pay for it. I am very excited to get things together and see if we can really make a change here at Kutztown. I think it would be very great if we could get a Salad Works or Panera Bread here at Kutztown. It would benefit every single student here at Kutztown so its about time something is done about it!
