Project 3

The other day in class we were introduced to our project 3 assignment. For this project, in or group we have to come up with or own assignment. At first or group had a little bit of trouble figuring out something we could do that would count as 20% of our overall grade in the class. My group and myself all work really well together so this was something we knew we could accomplish. We decided to do a couple different things for project 3. For the visual part of the assignment we are going to be making a power point of nutritional facts being as though we are part of the healthy food group. As well as doing the power point each group member is going to make note cards with different nutritional facts to hand out to students to get them aware of how unhealthy the food here is Kutztown is. To make the project a little more fun, we decided we are going to make a video to show to the class as well. As for the written part of the project, we decided that we are going to do a 300-500 word reflection on how we did in completing the project. Next class my group will be getting together to start to put together the assignment sheet to go with our project. I know I am very excited to get going on our project!

Creating My Own Hand Game

In the class before our spring break we had to all get out of our seat and move all the desk out of the way to create a big circle around the room. When this was being done I started to think we must be playing a game or doing a big group activity. When Dr. Morris told us to get with a partner and sit on the ground, I partnered up with Jess. Dr. Morris then told us we had to create our own hand game. You had to be able to play it at any time or place and you were only able to use you hand, eye, feet, and ect. When she told us this i immediatly thought how are we going to do this? We both started to think of hand games we used to play when we were younger and we both came to remember the game Slide. It's a hand game that is hard to explain over the computer but you basically slap hands with yourt partner and increase as you get along with the game. Jess and I then started to think how we could change it around to make it our own. So we decided to add that you have to say a color each time the rotation would end. Each time you went through you would have to re say each of the colors that was said previously. The game would end when one person would mess up . Obviously this is very difficult to explain this way, but it was a succesful game. I believe Dr. Morris had us do this activity to keep us in the creativity mode. As it is the main topic of our semester it shows that creativity can be realted in so many other way then in just writing. It is activity that i definetly enjoyed and I am glad I was able to participate.
